Janet Brewer

Advanced Estate Planning Attorney

Janet is the principal of the Law Office of Janet L. Brewer. She is certified by the California State Bar Board of Legal Specialization as an estate planning and probate specialist, one of fewer than 100 practicing in Santa Clara County. For more than 20 years, she has focused her practice on estate planning and probate matters, including the preparation of wills, revocable trusts, tax-sensitive trusts, and gift planning.

Rod Cardinale, Jr.

Senior Paralegal / Office manager

Rod Cardinale, Jr. is the Senior Paralegal and the Firm’s Office Manager. Rod received his Paralegal Certificate from Evergreen Valley College in 2009. He joined the Firm in 2014 and has extensive experience in Trust Administration, Estate Planning and Management. Rod is a Past President of the Santa Clara County Legal Professionals Association and currently serves as the Association’s Treasurer. Rod also is the Executive Advisor of Legal Professionals, Incorporated, and served as President from 2022-2024. In his spare time, Rod enjoys spending time with his family and friends, traveling, cooking, and sports.

Andrea Edmunds

Administrative Assistant

Andrea joined the firm as an Administrative Assistant in 2014. She acts as a liaison between our staff and clients. She studied at the University of Pittsburg. In her free time, she enjoys California’s beautiful beaches with her two children.

Cassie Recio

Project Manager

Cassie is a seasoned project management professional, who is devoted to bringing order to the daily flow of tasks and responsibilities for those on the team, regularly working closely with Janet to ensure client satisfaction. In her spare time, Cassie loves hanging out with her family, diving into a good book, exploring new eateries, and being an active part of her church community.

Marjie Brewer-Oca

Business & Client Relations

Marjie has over 25 years’ experience in Business Development, Marketing and Business Operations. She currently works closely with Janet to oversee the Firm’s daily operations and ongoing projects, with a key emphasis on business overview, marketing and client relations. She is a spiritual person who adores being a wife, mother and grandmother.
